Algunos surfistas experimentados echaron de menos tener un área más amplia al frente, donde la mayoría de sus giros se conectan y algunos de sus aires aterrizan. No se sorprenda al ver que las alturas y los volúmenes de Dark and the Darker son prácticamente los mismos. Es en la distribución de la forma donde cambia el concepto.
La tabla de surf Pukas Darker 5'11'' diseñada por Axel Lorentz tiene un outline (perfil) estrecho y un rocker (curvatura) pronunciado, lo que la hace ideal para olas potentes y huecas. Está hecha con foam de alta calidad y fibra de vidrio reforzada, lo que le da durabilidad y resistencia. La cola es tipo round tail, lo que permite un mayor control en el bottom turn y en las maniobras de carving. En general, es una tabla para surfistas avanzados que buscan una tabla de alto rendimiento para olas exigentes. El diseño en color blanco le da un aspecto elegante y minimalista.

The Pukas Darker by Axel Lorentz carries the legitimacy of being a design validated by Dane Reynolds in the Stab In The Dark All Stars Edition.
This surfboard sits on top of the “high-performance” hierarchy at Pukas. It’s a novel extension of the Pukas Dark (runner up at SITD IV) that Axel Lorentz shaped for the crowd that was intimidated with the narrower outline in the upper nose-side of the board.
Some experienced surfers missed having a wider area up front, where most of their turns connect and some of their airs land.
Don’t be surprised to see that the heights and volumes of the Dark and the Darker are practically the same. It’s in the distribution of the shape that the concept changes.
